"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."—Ben Williams

4 boys and 5  girls

Pouring with rain and threatening to storm up, freezing cold (typical Scottish May) and up to our ankles in a muddy field with, not one - but TWO maiden dogs!!!!

Well! Never had such an easy mating. Both performed excellently. Three full matings over three days and all averaging 45 minutes!!!!
(Oz actually kept falling asleep!!)

9 weeks later, out popped 9 wonderful little solid black bundles of fun (or so we thought then!!!)

As the puppies grew, we soon discovered things were NOT as peaceful as they seemed!!

At just 2 1/2 weeks they were climbing out of the whelping box!!

They were chewing the vet-bed, their Mum and each other!!!

Noise, fights, heads spinning around 360 degrees, growling, barking etc etc..............and ALL this at only 3 weeks of age.

We were starting to wonder if these little "darlings" were really the Spawns of Satan!!

Well, as the weeks went on we had all fallen in the routine of ignoring the mini battle ground in the puppy kennel and accepting that this litter was going to be very, very play driven!!

Each puppy started to develop their own character and jostle for position within the hierarchy of the "baby" pack!

Even Sash, who is as hardy as they come couldn't cope, so we had to put her in the kennel next door to the puppies.   They could still see her, but couldn't  engulf her as they had been doing. The pure relief on Sash's face told it all!

The pups took to solid food very easily. I would definitely say by far the easiest litter ever to wean.

When it came time for their first journeys in the car, again they took it in their stride. None of the normal problems when you mix puppies, cars and weird motions!!!

Even for all of our moaning throughout this litter about how wild they were.
We enjoyed every moment, as we found them a very interesting bunch of puppies. Not a dull moment was had by anyone.

The time came for the little "cherubs" to go to their new Mums and Dads. When they met, every puppy was on their best behavior.
Just a false sense of security ploy!!!

We have heard back from all now and had glowing reports. Give the puppies about one month and they will have their new human families ALL fully trained!!
