Mudgee came to us in March 2010, travelling an immense distance.
She was bred in the homestead of Jamie O'Neil and Sandra Dent who have Fudeta Hot Hounds in New South Wales, Australia.
Thanks must go to them for allowing Mudgee to come half way around the world to us here at Haughmill
Mudgee has so much love to give and does so with gusto.
She is friendly to everyone, even the cats - which they don't agree with but that's Mudgee for you!
She intergrated with our original two hooligans extremely well and they have buckled down to everyday play and chat between themselves, which is very amusing to watch.
Mudgee landed on 4th March and I only had 8 days to get acquainted with the way Mudgee was used to being shown -
which is totally different from the British way of handling a Foxhound.
By the time our day came around which was Friday 12th March, Mudgee and I were sort of working as a team
but with a couple of kinks needing ironed out still.
However, with travelling thousands of miles just a few days before, meeting us and having to get used to my ham fisted handling, Mudgee was awarded a 2nd place in the Open Bitch class which was won by the eventual Best of Breed. We were very pleased with the result and hope that she will go on from strength to strength as she settles down and makes Haughmill her home.
