Here at Haughmill we plan out our breeding programme very carefully and
also well in advance.
Although when dealing with Mother Nature sometimes it is a case of 'the best laid plans' and something has to be altered, even at the last minute.

Purchasing a Haughmill puppy is not like going to the Supermarket and buying a can of peas off the shelf.
So it is always advisable to be placed onto the
waiting list as early as possible because the demand for a
Haughmill puppy is very high.
Maybe the timing is not right for the purchase of a puppy, maybe
the house isn't finished, the garden fence still needs
to be erected so the area is secure,
the decorating of the living room is still to be tackled or the carpet
lifted and wooden flooring fitted.
Many, many reasons for it not being the right time.
We at Haughmill understand that certain tasks takes priority
which should be the case as making a purchase of any puppy
has to be a well thought out,
planned and responsible decision.
Knowing that everything is in place and ready for the introduction
of your new member to your
family will give you peace of mind.
We at Haughmill plan our litters very carefully.
We do not approve a stud based on the fact that he was 'just' there,
he was 'available' or local, owned by a friend, flavour of the
month or because he was free to use.
We base our decisions on what a particular dog
can offer to our lines - Good conformation, Excellent movement, Terrific temperament and balance of type with all these elements complimenting the bitch already in mind.
These decisions are not taken lightly, as we at Haughmill
have set out our ten year breeding plan with quality
being the strong foundation within.
We at Haughmill have a firm belief which has been passed down through the generations that WE as breeders do not own the we have, but are Guardians.
Our duty is to preserve it, to honour the history and to make sure that when we do breed we ONLY breed
for improvement and quality.
This is why we pride ourselves on our puppies for they have been bred with tradition, temperament, conformation and
type in the forefront of our minds.
When you purchase from Haughmill you will be
secure in the knowledge that you will receive a
puppy who will make a quality, well balanced
addition to your family.
You will also have peace of mind knowing that we at Haughmill give a 100% back up service to you and your new addition for life.
