We have finally succeeded in having a litter from Tess and what puppies there are. Well worth the wait.
She only had 5 but what lacks in quantity certainly makes up in the quality.
Strong, sturdy, large boned and very determined.
We are sure that their new Mums & Dads will be over the moon when they see them for the first time.
Typically for a Haughmill puppy and especially for one sired by Clyde, these puppies are growing at a tremendous rate.
It won't be long before they are running about the gardens here at Haughmill, exploring and no doubt
getting into mischief.

I'm not posing today - I want to sleep!
Take my photo - I'm pretty & vain!!
Hey! I just lurve the attention!
Oh I am soooooo bored!!!
Do what you want - I don't care!
Just Puppies!
We have been very fortunate with this litter, especially after the
terrible evening of the birth.
Tess was duly brought in and she started to whelp, but she showed signs of being seriously distressed. As the whelping went on, she began to panic even more
and it became quickly obvious we were going to have problems.
After all the puppies were born she suddenly turned on them and tried to kill them.
In all the years I have been breeding I have NEVER had a bitch
do this, to say I was shocked is an understatement.
We immediately put Tess outside and I honestly thought that I was
going to have to hand rear them, until Alasdair suggested Scoobie!
So, he brought her in and she instantly jumped into the box and
started to clean the puppies, then lay down and let them suckle.
She has now got milk to feed 10 puppies, so one can imagine the size of these little monsters. Scoobie has done a wonderful job of rearing these puppies for us and has taken the role of a surrogate mother with ease.
The puppies have thrived and do not lack for any attention
or love that Scoobie showers upon them.
Thank you and a big well done, Scoobie!

Most puppies are actually quite accommodating when I am taking their photos.
However with this litter there is one of the boys, Jax who is not so keen on the olde camera posing!
So this is why he is excluded in the two photos above.
Here I come!
Bat-Dog!!!
Whey Hey!!!!
Jinx doing the posing thing for me
Keeping with the Haughmill tradition of giving boys names to girls, we have called her 'DANNI'
