BEFORE the age of three
1st December 1990 we decided it was time for 'Ziggy' to stand up and be a man.
Whilst we sat and had a bottle of Champagne to celebrate the event, 'Ziggy' romanced and finally wooed our Newlin Dimple at Haughmill.
The mating resulted in wonderful little bundles of joy. 6 puppies, 5 dogs and 1 bitch, born 1st February 1991.

ODE TO ZIGGY
'Twas way back in June, in the Spring of the year
That 'Ziggy' began his puppy career
Things weren't too good at his first three Champ Shows
But everyone knows, that's the way that it goes.
His Open Show debut, he showed like a Pro
And won the Reserve Best Puppy in Show.
Well that was him started, no holding him back
This pup out of 'Melba' and sired by 'Mac'.
It was then onto Leeds where Sid Pollock agreed
That 'Ziggy' should win the Best Puppy in Breed.
O'er the next seven shows with delight we would burst
'Cause 'Ziggy' was never, placed lower than First
The winds of good fortune continued to blow
As three times he won the Best Puppy in Show.
We travelled to Wales, knowing not how we'd fare
And arrived in the ring, with just seconds to spare
Eleanor Bothwell was judging and when she was done
Best Puppy in Breed was what 'Ziggy' had won.
But his day wasn't finished, to add to our cheer
Won his heat of the Winalot Pup of the Year.
The following day he was back in the ring
Best of Breed yet again, life was going with a swing.
The very next day round the ring he did flow
Under Mr A Harper, went Best Puppy in Show.
At Leicester and Darlington, SKC too
The First place rosette was the one that he drew.
His puppy hood's finished, and now he's a man
And by siring two litters, he's proved that he can.
His first Best in Show was in old Aberdeen
As an adult he's showing he's still just as keen.
Even with such a lifestyle, he never does moan
He's a pleasure to show, and an Angel to own.
